Advanced Marksmanship new 500 yard F/TR record

Re: new 500 yard F/TR record

Four guys each shooting about a what... 197 or so? Not an outrageously high score for one person for one string, but to keep it together like that for four shooters in a row... pretty good

Exactly Monte. Just goes to show how difficult holding MOA or better is over a large number of shots, even with scope, bag, bipod, pounds of rifle, and a coach sitting over your shoulder. 500 yard wind is not super tough in the grand scheme of things though for sure it is not hard to get blown outside the 1 MOA 10 ring.

lol... You've never shot at the range in Nocona... <grin>

That wind can be brutal...'specially this time of year. Howling through & then switching... That never ain't fun...

Re: new 500 yard F/TR record

My point was the wind only gets worse the further back you go but the F-Class rings for 300 yard targets on back to 1k remain a constant 1/2 MOA X and 1 MOA 10 ring. No slight was presented nor intended regarding the accomplishment.

lol.. I know bro... I was funnin' back with ya...

That range has crazy mad winds sometimes... but indeed it does get harder the further back ya go..that's a given and much to that.

lmfao... me...giving windage info to an El Presidente's 100 holder... now THAT'S funny right there...
