Just wanted to see what you all think of my current build. I wanted to build a fairly light bolt gun with good long range capability. Here is the list of parts that I will be using. All feedback is greatly appreciated.

Caliber: 6.5 x 47 Lapua
Action: Bighorn Arms TL2 Short Action
Barrel: Proof Research 22" Sendero Taper 1:8" RH Twist
Stock: McMillian Game Scout Edge Fill
Trigger: Huber Concepts Tactical Trigger
Optics: Leupold Mark 6 3-18x44 w/H59
Scope Rail: Murphy Precision 10 MOA Titanium
Rings: APA 34mm Rings
DBM: APA RTG S/A
Muzzle Brake: Elk Meadow Preformance Titanium brake. At least until my TBAC 30P-1 paperwork comes thru.

All metal will be finished with Cerakote.

I am hoping that I can get this thing to come in at around 9lbs but you never know how accurate the weight estimations that are posted online for each item are.
But I figure this can be a good do it all rifle.

Thanks, Jake

I picked up my 6.5x47 build this weekend from the gunsmith. I used the Bighorn action and M24 Bartlein 8 twist barrel setting in a Manners T5a stock. I wish I would have used a lighter weight barrel like your planning to use.
Make sure you post up pictures and details on your rifle .

I looked at the titaniums in the beginning but decided on the bighorn because of the integral recoil lug and the fact i can change just the bolt face if i decide to change caliber down the road. I really like the 7 saum but am hesitant until the powder and primer famine gets over with.
