I finally recieved this rifle last week. It has already far exceeded my expectations. I chose to load the round using the false shoulder method with a 105 Berger and 30.3 grains of Varget kissing the lands.

At 100 and 200 yards with the VLD it did not impress me one bit. I then took it to 400 and then 675 yards.Conditions could not have been any better. Very light wind from 9 oclock. At 400 and 675 it shot AMAZING!! 2 inch 5 shot groups were not a problem at 675. I cant wait till all my brass is fireformed. This is my first go at a BR rig. Need some work adjusting the rest and getting solid time behind the rifle. Very excited about learning to shoot it and up the quality of my handloading.

The pictures do not do the rifle justice by any means. It is one fine piece of wood.

Specs:

BAT MACHINE MB action
Kreiger 1/8 HV contour barrel 30inches plus brake
Shehane Tracker ST 1000
Jewell trigger
Bat Trigger guard and rings
.271 neck .104 6 Dasher

Built by Mr. Leonard Baity

Joe you are right the pictures do not do it justice. Thanks for letting me shoot it twice, you are such a bench hog. I dry fire your bow one time and now you won't let me touch anything! It's a shooter!

Very pretty rifle. The 6mm bug is a hard one to shake. I have a 6br that I shoot an awful lot and really enjoy it.

Sweet rifle you have their. Those kind of rifles are a blast to shoot and you will fall in love with those Bat actions. If you build another off a Bat get a 3 lug and try it. I like them also and they are a little different than the 2 lug. I have been told he is one hell of a builder.
