I picked up a brand new GAP AR10 from a member here. I took it out to shoot tonight and it kept having empty brass getting caught and wedged by the bolt as it tried to cycle. I tried 2 different magazines and some BH 175's and Hornady 178's all did the same. Any ideas? I call GA tues, just tryin to get a jump on it

I had a similar sounding issue with one of mine a while back. The extractor wasn't holding on to the brass long enough and was dropping it right on top of the rounds in the mag.

Mine was an Armalite and they changed the extractor a little bit about the time they switched to the gen2 mags. If yours is an Armalite and depending on age it could be the problem.

Bottom line check the extractor, spring, and o-ring.

Try a drop of oil in the ejector/spring. Should be an "oil port" on the bolt. Then, using an empty case, "work" the oil into the ejector system. Sometimes, there are burrs made during the manufacturing process that slow the speed/strength of the ejector, resulting in "failures to eject".
