So, I’ve been working on a new barricade that I can haul around more easily and that’s more solid that the one I was using, which was a 3/4” plywood type, and had fixed supports.
This is what I’ve got so far (pretty much done except for finish work):
Now that I’m ready to sand and paint I’m having second thoughts. I framed out the baracade and then sheeted it with 1/8 veneer. I permanently mounted carriage bolts from the inside of the outside studs. You can see on that bottom one that’s exposed). I used steel angle and then braced the feet. Now that I’m done this thing is so solid that I don’t think I’ve ever shot off one this solid at a match...!?!? I guess when I put it together I can leave the wingnuts loose so it isn’t so solid...? Maybe I overthought/overbuilt this?
