new barrel for Henry

Does anyone make a serious barrel for a Henry Rifle? I can't live with a 2" group @ 100 yards!

I bet any custom shop could make one for you, copy the contour that is, but dont be surprised if it costs extra money. Also, do to the tube fed magazine and the way it attaches to the barrel, top notch accuracy is not likely with any barrel.

I would persue other platforms, ie not lever action, if you desire top notch accuracy.

Get a Marlin 39 A if you want accuracy from a lever action, its the best.

Wait, 2" at 100yd, from a 22lr lever action? Sounds like more than you should expect.

it's a 17hmr not a 22 ... It has an octagon barrel, and a friend of mine managed some 1.5" groups, but I'd still like to talk to someone who could make it better.
for some reason, his groups opened up on the 4th-5th set of 3 on every choice of ammo...the plot thickens.
