New barrel, When to ladder test?

I've got a brand new 6.5x47L barrel. This will be my first attempt at a ladder test, at which I will conduct at 300yds. First, I plan on breaking in the barrel with the following approach: 1 shot, clean - 2 shots, clean - 3 shots, clean - that's it. I'm just wondering if I can do the ladder test at this time to search for node's? Say I find a couple of nodes to work with, I'm just wondering if these nodes will change as I get a few more rounds through it? I just want to try to find a good node while shooting up the least amount of ammo. I ended up shooting up 250-300 rounds on my last build searching for nodes by shooting groups, and I was hoping the ladder test would eliminate some of that. I'll be working withe the 123 Scenars and Varget or R15. Thanks.

Should work out just fine. Break it in with the six shots and then run the ladder. Accuracy nodes shouldn't change much... velocities should even out pretty early on, too.

Correct. I have not noticed any changes in my accuracy from when the barrel was brand new. I started load work up within 10 rounds, and that load has remained. Sometimes you will pick up more velocity after 150 or so rounds. So don't worry if it's running slow at first. It will come around.
