So with the new 153.5 hybrid from BERGER what is the real world COAL ? , I just need to know if it will work with my magazines!

Berger said they used 2.955 in the PRC with 156 gr EOL's, I would think the 153.5's would be about the same.
That is what I am running, the 153.5's. I ran the 156 before and they were great but I don't hunt and liked the idea of the 153.5's consistency. I find them more consistent while measuring from the ogive and in the results down range. You'll love 'em. My ES was between 8-12 on the 5 shot groups that I measured during load dev.
That's good to hear, I'm not a hunter either, and more consistency is huge. I hope I can get my ES down as good as you have, that is my next goal.

Going to test these 2 in my 6.5 MAX - wonder where the extra velocity with the 145's will be surpassed by the extra G7 of the 153.5's...
Whos loading these in 6.5cm? I wonder if these are more tailored to the saum and prc as others have mentioned. Ive seen a few new bullets in the lower 150s range in .264. My tikka is a 1 in 8 twist, and i just dont think its the best fit. She loves 140s and 130s though....
Ordering from Midway---
I ordered 2 boxes of the 100 count bullets (the max allowed) and two days later tried to order two more 100 round boxes but was not allowed. I called customer service and was told I had to wait 8 days before I could order more. I went out today and did some load testing with the bullets and was very happy. (smallest 100 yard 3 round group was 0.153 inches-largest was 0.75). I went back to the Midway site tonight and was able to order the 500 round box.

I shot it at 2960 fps at 5 shot group if it don't come easy don't quit col long throat 3.020 ruger prc! 4831 sc work it!

Well it appears that Berger believes the 153.5 bullet isn't too large for the 6.5 CM since they are offering ammunition with this combo. Interesting to see what the reviews will be.
The bullet performed for me with a 1-7 twist hung long out the case 3" long out a 26" barrel! I don't know if it will drive in a stock rifle but it kicks ass in my betty
I run them in a creed out of a 23" barrel. 40.8 gr of H4350, Lapua Brass @ 2.931. Get 2650 fps and nice low SD's. Running a Mild load.
If I can score some RL26 should be able to bump that velocity up to about 2750, with a longer barrel, past 2800.
The 144 Berger is a much more appropriate bullet if you can find them. Similar BC but can push them a bit faster.
There is also the stability factor with 8 twist. Berger says you lose about 3% BC at that velocity, sea level,ect. Push them faster, get some elevation or move to a 7.7 twist and you get the BC back.

153 is not to big for the Creedmoor, I dont know why people always say this. With the right loads its plenty fast. I run the 153 atip at 2830 fps, no pressure issues. Using rl16. They can be wet and still not issues. With RL26 I have taken them MUCH MUCH faster to see how fast it could push it.
My rl26 load is 2910 fps. no pressure issues. I have tested them up to 100fps faster where there was pressure issues!

Those numbers are suspect unless you are running a super long barrel. Most people are not getting those kind of velocities without pushing them harder than they should.
QL or GRT will give you a pressure estimate, and I would bet you are above 60K PSI. Get them hot/and or wet and you are into danger zone. Just becase you are not seeing pressure signs, does not mean you are not there.
You don't get the benefit of the BC unless you are in the right velocity band. Using something like the AB CDM's is going to be much more accurate than a simple G7 in this type of application.
The 144's are more appropriate as you can push them faster, safely.
Suspect? I agree that I wouldn’t reccomend everyone pushing them as hard as I have tested them. That being said I know how to read Pressure on my rifles, one of the reason I pressure tested this to the max because I wanted to know the stages of Pressure in this rifle and how far it can go and what that Preasure would look like. I use quickload and grt I know where I am at. I have been running this rl16 load for years now and the 2910 have both been water tested no issues. However the 2910 load with rl26 I do not prefer when I can get a better load out of the rl16 in general.
The last screen shot is the Preasure test I did with the 153s and rl26 where the pressure was extreme and way over pressure, super heavy bolt lift and all those issues. However I know that if it can go 3050 fps without any sort of critical failure I know for a fact I can run 2910 without issues.
My barrel is 26inches.
At the end of the day I don’t let the sammi pressure numbers or quick load estimates dictate my loads, I let me experience loading and testing make my judgements, over pressure loads are easy to diagnose if you know what you are looking for. I don’t care if my loads is over sammi pressure, I care if the load is unsafe if that makes sense. Just my process and it’s not for everyone that’s for sure. But I can tell you the two loads I run at 2840 and 2910 are safe (in my gun, might not be in others)

Yes, where I live I shoot this load in 110 degree weather, and I have also shot this load in the rain. I even purposely tested a slightly damp round. for the rl16 load anyway. No my load is not compressed. Its close to it though, I don't get a crunch and can hear the powder.
Also if you are using quickload the rl16 data for the powder is a bit off. I forgot where I got it but someone posted the correct calculations for the powder and uploaded it. When I run it with the corrected rl16 numbers its not THAT high. I can't remember off the top of my head.
Also no I do not let anyone else shoot my rifle (With any hand loads)
I do know what is safe for my rifle, You sir do not know everything that you do not know. =)
Want to know something else, I have lapua brass I have loaded over 20 times with these loads.

Zero trouble believing every word of this. I am less than 70 FPS behind you using Staball 6.5. i can see in my manuals that RL26 produces higher velocity than Staball, so it makes total sense to me. Also shooting a 26" barrel.
43.3 of R16 is not the way slow powder way out performs r16 with long barrel an heavy projectile r22 an up
