Darrell - does your bipod attach to the front stud or the rail? What is the weight of the bipod?

Hey Paul,
The LRA bipod that I am currently using weighs in at 1.85 lbs (and as Monte said, it does attach to a Picatinny rail). He does have a lighter weight option out there that weighs in at 1.26 lbs. The angle of the legs add to their footprint to make a very stable pod. The standard weight LRA pod is intended for .408, and other *very* heavy calibers, so it is plenty stout and rigid (ie. good for loading!).
A comparison of some common bipods weight vs. footprint vs. rigidity.
LRA (standard): 1.85 lbs, 16.5" wide, *very* rigid
LRA (light-weight): 1.26 lbs, 12.5" wide, very rigid
GG&G (standard): .75 lbs, 10.5" wide, rigid
Sinclair (Gen 2): 2.16 lbs, 16.5" wide *very* rigid
Harris (6-9"): .9 lbs, 12" wide, somewhat flexible, especially at max height
Hope this helps,
Darrell
