Anyone have anymore info on these?

Uintah Precision seems to have more refined uppers but for the price on these it might be handy to pick one of them up if they shoot and cycle decently.

The only reviews I’ve seen are on their website. Seems they are just as easy to swap a barrel as any AR15 upper.

No idea on the bolt throw or how awkward it is to cycle the bolt.

Not for everyone but tossing a bolt upper in the case with an AR15 in a different caliber might be handy.

All they did was ripoff Uintah Precision that's been making these for 15+ years. Except they made it shitty because it's built by BCA. 🤣😂🤣

Uintah at least uses high-end barrels from well-known manufacturers...Not Bear Crack Arsehole.

I’ve been playing around with two of these uppers because they’re so cheap, around $600 for two which is half the price of a UP upper. You can swap barrels and handguards. So far accuracy is about what you would expect, not great but you can swap barrels for a better quality barrel. The 556 upper is reasonable with the factory BCA barrel, best group I got was around .8” at 100 with black hills 77gr. The issue I’m fighting with is the sleeve that covers the gas port doesn’t seal the gas off well. I used SS shim stock to get a tighter seal after that range today to try and seal it off which I think should stabilize the MV and hopefully tighten groups up a little.

As you would expect they aren’t super accurate or high quality but they are fun to shoot and my kids enjoy plinking with them which is half the reason I got the uppers. If you get one and want to swap handguards make sure you get a handguard without the tabs that go over the receiver as the BCA is wider than a standard AR upper.

The shorty is a 300BO I played around with. Super quiet and fun to shoot. I’ll probably get rid of one of these uppers and just keep one in 556 for shooting ground squirrels, coyotes, and target plinking for the kids.

Threw a WOA barrel I had lying around the shop on and now this thing is stacking them. Was consistently getting .3-.7” groups. The one group was just over an inch but I was fighting mirage bad and threw that shot being impatient so I put two more in that group after the flyer.
I’m gonna swap the handguard out and see if I can’t make it look a little less ugly.

Good to see a new barrel really improved the accuracy.

I’m tempted to do that with a carbon fiber handguard and a new barrel.

Would make for a sweet truck gun.

Did you put a gas block on your WOA barrel to block off the port?

Yep, it’s starting to shoot well now. I’m contemplating cutting the second bolt I have down so I can use a picatinny attached folder stock in stead of the buffer tube stock.

Negative on the gas block, they come with a steel sleeve. I did find the fit isn’t great and it leaks gas. Easily fixed with some 0.015 SS shim stock.

A couple of us have bought these receivers to build subsonic pistols. I haven't decided on a barrel yet but put an old model 1 24" 556, reversed gas block, and mismatched handgaurd just to play with it. Shimmed the barrel with 1 wrap of .001" foil and thermal fit it. Honestly the barrel shot better than it ever had. Did a 6 round group around 3/4".

I think they make a neat option for testing barrels when troubleshooting builds. It's also the cheapest route to doing a bolt action pistol. We're planning on cutting the bolt carrier down to run folding braces for backpack sized pistols that sound like pellet guns. Might have to do a subsonic 458 socom.
