Just took this girl out for her initial range session today to dial in the gas system.
All five round groups shot with Hornady Factory 105 black ammo.

    Raidin Build Kit.

    Geissele SSA-E X Trigger.

Vlotor A5 H2 Buffer system with Dark Hour 13 position receiver extension.

Paul Ross 22" Bartlein Barrel 4 Groove / .800 Gas Block Journal +2 gas system / 5/8x24 threads.

Young Manufacturing Chromed 6ARC HMB Bolt, in Radian Enhance Carrier.

I haven’t tried TAC but it could work, Staball match too. They’re a bit on the faster side so probably be a better match with a shorter/lighter bullet or a mono.

With the Factory Hornady Black 105's I average 2656 FPS and a SD of 14 out of the 22" 4 Groove Bartlein, I only shot one box today so im sure it's a safe bet to say she might speed up. Next outing I'll throw a can on as well.

Oh! And in this thread Opinions are like Titties, I want to see them all. Feel free to share your thoughts on the build or any requests.

@thedude824, I can’t speak for the OP but I just purchased a B5 in the medium config but I’m sending it back. The cheek riser is to short length wise. Other than that, the stock felt well built and pretty snug on buffer tube. There isn’t much up elevation in the cheek riser though. I’m thinking about getting a long version.

What’s your speed with Comp compared to lever and cfe223
    With 87 VMAX

    30.1gr CFE223 - 2794 SD11

    26.5gr AR COMP - 2790 SD 6

AR Comp almost 4gr less powder for same speed, better SD's 5 shot groups in the 0.4s.. and extremely temp stable..

I saw huge velocity swings with CFE 223 as temps changed. That's why i looked for a more stable powder and AR Comp has been the ticket.. Longshot had huge temp swings as well.

    FYI....

B5 sells a rubberized cheek riser that snaps onto their precision stock's original movable cheek riser to give you more rise, and a larger cheek piece. It feels GREAT on your face. Highly recommend.

There may have been some pre-planned trolling in the thread title.😁
    Well thank you for that.

Here’s some 22 ARC trolling, could I get away with a 24” 1:7 .936” + 2 gas straight taper Krieger barrel with the YHM fat cat suppressor and not suffer any accuracy degradation? Or do I need to do a 22”

Barrel length doesn't affect accuracy, just Velocity. If I was going with the above build I'd actually go with a 20" +1 or +2 Gas system.

Gotcha I was wondering about the effect of that length with a can on barrel harmonics. I have two 24” Krieger 5.56 uppers that my crippled ass can consistently shoot the 73 grain ELDs into 1/2 MOA. No muzzle device on any of them. But I have to wonder if putting a YHM can on it would severely disrupt barrel harmonics.

Do you think I could safely get a 77 grain ALCO or a 75 grain ELD bullet to 2950-3000 fps with a 20”?

Not sure on your muzzle velocities mileage may vary, anytime you connect something to the end of your Barrel it's going to change the barrels harmonics for Better or Worse you won't know until you try it.

So if I got the 24” and had negative harmonic issues I could send the barrel back to Paul Ross & have him machine it down to 20” right? Reason I ask is I have never had a barrel shortened & am unsure if there are side effects.

    Anyone tried TAC?
You’re in Idaho right? Temps range from bellow 0 to 90s?

In the wretched cactus fucking shithole part of the country that I live temps range maybe 60 degrees from coldest to warmest. I have had 5.56 TAC loads with 77 TMKs that I developed get extreme velocity swings going from 80-100 degrees. And I wasn’t at Western Powders max charge weight.

Again I think you're kind of missing the point, whatever barrel length and muzzle device you plan on using either a muzzle break or a suppressor is going to be tuned in unison during your load development.

Paul charges $100 to cut crown and thread a barrel.

Do me a favor and please direct any further questions to PM's
