Hey Guys,
Lee from Broken Arrow. Stumbled onto this site while building my ar-308. I've built a few ar's but this one is a step up from what I've been doing. I put a cmc trigger in it, an upgraded buttstock, waiting on a proof barrel. I'm not near as knowledgeable as the guys here. I was brought up shooting in Nowata out in the country.
My dad had a 30.06 and let me buy my .270 at 16 (this was after I'd shot about a million bbs). I put a cheap scope on it and had fun out-shooting my buddies with their 30-30s.
That was nearly 40 years ago. I'm a freelance hvac guy, aka small hvac contractor and I'm trying to spend more time out at the range and less time working. So I thought I'd put together a nice rifle. I almost did a bolt gun, but I had a large platform stripped dpms lower, ordered a cmc trigger out of curiosity and just proceeded to build it out. I'll post pics when finished.
My wife and two cocker spaniels are super supportive of my hobbies as long as the bills get paid and there is food in bowls.
Anyway, I don't know how long introduction posts normally are...I'm sure this one is way longer than necessary.
