For those of you still interested in the Max Ordinate courses; Ive been to the advanced LEO course 2x. Its a phenomenal course and the range is exceptional. The lead instructor, Tyler Hughes, was a USMC Scout Sniper and is a great instructor with a wealth of knowledge. He's also a current PRS competitive shooter. As far as the location (San Bernardino hills near Apple Valley), it was awesome. As previously stated, theres a large cabin (think Mining camp) that the students have access to and most stay in. There are numerous firing lines ranging from less than 100 yards to over 1500 yards. Additionally, there are firing lines for high angle shooting, some ranges of 700-800 yards for the high angle stuff. I'm just guessing, but there are probably over 200 pieces of steel spread throughout the property, most hittable from multiple firing lines. There are also multiple vehicle you can shoot from, through, and into. As far as preparing you for PRS matches, there are several obstacles erected on the property to challenge your unconventional positional shooting; rooftops, tire stacks, ropes, chains, fencing, the infamous tank trap, etc.
In all, its been some of the best training my team and I have participated in and we hope to go back.
