Hi all.
registered today. Long time shooter, but recently got a bug to shoot long. Took my Tompson Center Venture 30-06 to 300 yards with Nikon Prostuff 4-12x40 and it was fun, dialed it into a 5-6" groups just under the bulls eye and got hooked, so I am building a Rem 700 in 308. to shoot at 600 yard range in my club, may be longer if I find a place.
started with AAC-SD bought from a friend, AICS 1.5 chassis, bought on arfcom is on the way, borrowed Bushnell Elite 6-24x50 sits on it now, but ordered Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50FFP.

How's that elite? I was thinking about one of those on my 7-08.

worked well for me, I was able to group in about 4-5" most at 300 yards with mediocre ammo and no previous experience - 2nd time at 300 total, first time with this rifle. I hope to get better
