Good Evening.

I came across this website seeking answers to questions. After reading through the forum over the past couple of weeks, I decided to join.

I lack a sufficient mastery of the English language to adequately convey how much I enjoy shooting. Having spent some time reading through the forum it appears here at least, an explanation is not required.

I have some bad habits that I need to break. I also know that I have much to learn. I expect this is a good place to start.

Welcome. What part of Oklahoma are you from?

Elementary in Norman. Middle School in Moore. High School in OKC. College in Edmond.
Got worried, someone might think I was migrating north to become a Yankee, so I moved back to OKC.

Leased some land to shoot on in the far NW of the State.

How bout you?

Woodward, you know NW Oklahoma.

Sure do. I've Worked in Woodard and all five of the surrounding counties.
The land I leased is North of Woodward. Closer to Freedom and the alabaster caverns. Would like to get up there more often, but the eight hour round trip means I end up limited to nearby 100 yard ranges more frequently than I like.

When I picked the land, I was thinking I would be in the area a bit more, but Covid put that on hold.

Welcome, you should try to make it down to fouled bore precision they have a nice setup out there if you’ve never been

Thanks. I will try to make it down and check them out this summer. I had no idea they existed until you pointed them out.
Question... are you allowed to shoot at the wind turbines?

Man I hate to see good land go unused. I would sacrifice some of my time to help a brother out. I mean, I could hunt it for you, I could fish it for you (if there’s a pond), I could set up a range and shoot it for you, I could run 4 wheelers for you, just a bunch of stuff I’d volunteer to do, you know, to help you out.

Haha. Frequency of use would be helpful. The neighbors got pissy during hunting season because the access road goes by their hunting lodge. I'm worried that the less I access it, the more difficult it will become and the lease runs out in a few years.

Its only 40 acres of barren rock and a small ravine. However, the land overlooks the Cimarron River. Shooting position is level on the top of a hill facing Northwest. Elevation drops 100 feet or so in the first 200 yards then levels out to flat sand for 3000 yards. 1500 yards to the river with 2800 yards of sand on a ~15 degree arc to the Northwest. The only thing the land is good for is hunting and shooting. Deer, hogs and snakes are frequent. Hogs came every morning before sunrise that I've been there.

If you can agree to waive any liability to me, be nice to the neighbors, keep boy scout rules about leaving nothing behind, not kill all the wildlife, and let me know if you see anything amiss, then send me a PM and I'll send you the coordinates. Just know that if you run into difficulty with the neighbor, it may be a wasted trip as I will need to get a restraining order to force the issue.

Make sure you get down to Ninekah (sp?) and check out Justin Watts range, fouled bore precision. Still my favorite range I’ve ever shot on.
There is a real good smith out in the ElReno area too, Tanner Overholser. Not sure if he advertises, but he does some of the best machine work I’ve ever seen...

I miss OK
