We are proud to introduce the next generation of our AICS Spigot Rail System.
We spent a lot of time perfecting what we feel is the best rail system currently in production for the AI Chassis. It is produced from the finest steel and aluminum. Our spigot attachment system is pre heat treated, turned, ground and polished steel. The spigot attachment is then final machined on a CNC Lathe. The Rail is 7075-T6 aluminum which is considerably tougher than 6061. Most other companies produce their rail systems out of 606. They do this because 6061 is considerably cheaper and easier to machine, but it is also completely inferior to 7075-T6 in terms of strength, hardness and durability. Our Rails are finished on top notch CNC mills and meet the original Picatinny rail specifications, alternatively known as the MIL-STD-1913. When finished the aluminum parts are mil-spec anodized and the steel parts are mil-spec black oxide coated. These rails lock up like vaults when tightened to the chassis.
Our Gen II Spigots are longer than the originals so you can move the balance point forward for an even more stable shooting position. We also move the harris bipod attachment point forward to make more room for pod loks and other swivel tightening devices. This allows complete access to the spigot release point with a traditional harris bipod and pod lok without the need for a pic rail adapter. The preliminary proofing run is complete and we are moving into production. We should have plenty in stock in approx. 2-3 weeks.
