Hello. My name is Nick. I am 27 years old and back in Iowa. I love shooting. Almost any kind of shooting gets me going. I have a hand full of AR's that I have been shooting for a good while. I shoot a few different drills a week on a back yard range. I shoot lots of .22 to keep my fundamentals up and 5.45 to get that full round feel. I like three gun and 'combat' pistol shooting. Haven't done hardly any of the more gaming style pistol shooting but enjoy IDPA. I also like shooting three gun and racing my shot timer.

I have started to move over to the precision side of the house. I had a full press kit in Colorado before I moved with a buddy who was very much into it and helped coach me through loads ect. I have picked up my own Forster co ax and dies. I load everything slow pure hand loading. I have lurked the reloading sections here for quiet a while and will continue in there. I just switched from a tikka t3 which I enjoyed shooting but wanted more. I figured I will be devoting more time to precision this summer and might as well get in here and say hello and feel more inclined to actually make some posts.

I know there is a lot of hate towards new members, young guys ect on any forum hope I won't come off that way. I am on a few other forums but don't post too much.

I will just keep my mouth shut most of the time I guess. Makes it harder for people to be tough on me.

As for hunting. I just got back from Colorado. So I guess I am pretty new to Iowa even though I grew up here. I know when I was a young lad we weren't able to use rifles. I am under the impression you still can't harvest up deer up north here with a rifle as people are afraid of getting hits in bathrooms and what not. I know guys in the south have always had rifle seasons and some cases when the population was high enough in the north they would open it up.

Im waiting to hear back from the VA about disability status. Iowa has a pretty nifty deal where you get lifetime hunting and fishing for 7 bucks with a VA letter. I don't know all the details on it but looking into it more. I have a bunch of hearing loss from being a 11C in the army and am waiting to see what they are going to do about the mtbi stuff. I don't know what level of disability they require for the license or really what the VA will do they are very strange about how they rate different things and the wait time is terrible anymore.
