New Guy from KY

Hi all,

Been a lurker for some time now. Decided to join in the fun. Great site, very informative and tons of great info in general. I am not a "tactical" rifle owner, but have used them extensively in a previous life!! I just shoot bolt action primarily now. I shoot one bolt action primarly these days. My .270WSM customized with a hart barrel on a Browning Medalion action. Lam stock finished and bedded. It shoots better than I can and has become my go to gun for everything. I get to take her to WY in a couple of weeks for Antelope and Mule Deer. I will be using 140 gr SST handloads. I can't wait as this will be my first trip out west. Glad to be here and take care!!

Whereabouts in KY are you located? Lots of local guys always looking for someone to shoot with.

That would be great!! I live near Richmond KY. I'm from Corbin originally though. I'm down that way a bunch too. The farm I have here in Richmond can be shot out to 600 meters on. Maybe further if we got creative haha. I know of other places where longer ranges can be obtained. Thanks!!

I've got family in the Mt Vernon area, etc. I am down to Perry Co, etc., and we shoot mostly around here, have access to a little over 1150yds, and could get a mile if we properly blocked access to the property.

I'd drive to Perry county. If you ever feel like extending an invite! I'm pretty busy coming up because of this WY trip and deer season in general. (I'm a guide/hunter escort where I work). But this winter I'd love to come coyote hunt those perry county strips, or just shoot with you guys. And you're always welcome up here!

Hey that's awesome man. I take my dog to Marengo Indiana to train on birds and ducks. He's a pup but coming along well. Corbin was great back when I was there. I'm not down there as much anymore, not enough to know many people at least. Just family.
