So... I've been a long time firearm enthusiast, with a passion for anything that goes "bang". I first started in a local bullseye pistol league when I lived in Wisconsin. I later moved on to IDPA/USPSA competition, and recently my focus had been on NFA stuff and collecting rare HK pistols. Apparently, I got the itch for another learning opportunity, and began a bunch of homework in the LR rifle arena. As a fairly educated firearm enthusiast, I was blown away by just how much I have to learn in this space.
Thank you to all who have contributed to the content of this site! You helped guide me a bit in some of the choices I made for my first bolt gun.
It's essentially a Surgeon CSR with a longer barrel and different muzzle brake. Details... Surgeon 591 short action .308 with a Jewell trigger in an AI AX chassis. It's sporting a Night Force NXS 5.5-22x50 in a NF one piece 20 MOA mount (already had both) with an Atlas bipod supporting the 20" Krieger barrel, and capped off with a Surefire brake and can.
It seems there are a good number of AZ fellas on the site, and I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can... I have much to learn and figure you'll all accelerate my learning curve!
Sorry for the bad iPhone pics.
