Been trolling this website for a while now, and some of you guys have a wealth of useful information. So I registered and ready to learn. I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan but the first long gange build will soon be done by the time r&r rolls around. My question is any of you guys around the central oregon area? Need someone to shoot with and hit me with some knowledge! Just divin into this long range stuff and I know it would take me longer to teach myself then to shoot with someone who has the experience. Thanks

As for the training, personally I think you should look into a professional training course to start off right. There's a shit ton out there right now, but there's no substitute to hitting up the pros on a purpose built range. Costs vary widely, watch out for the kool-aid, and take your advice from folks who have actually attended the courses versus fan-boys.
