hey everyone im new here and i thought that i would just post some pics of a couple of my rifles(well try to post)

The first one is a mauser 1908
shilen #7 in .308
farell base
leupold mark 4 rings
leupold scope
one thing you cant really tell due to the poor pic is that i cut slots in the end of the barrel to make a permabrake
gun koted in matte o.d. green and matte black

this one isnt really a "tactical" style rifle but i found the action in the shop soooo i decided what the heck its made to be like a takedown rifle, you can change out the barrel from a 21in 308, 20in 243, or a 24in 22-250
.308 barrel in it now i coated it with earth brown, dark parkerizing gray, and matte od green teflon moly (dont recommend)

Re: new guy

Very nice if you built them yourself. I'm not a huge fan of wood because of it expanding and contracting depending on the elements but for what they are good job. What kind of groups are you getting and what ranges are you shooting at?

Good Luck,

Re: new guy

me either for that fact there both laminate and also you can prevent that by fiberglassing the whole barrel channel and you can put thick electrical tape around the barrel to keep it free floated

Re: new guy

Don't think I'd trust black tape as a bedding agent to free float my barrel.... Otherwise they look pretty good! I like a good wood stocked rifel on occasion, like my M1 Garand or my Thompson M1.... Wood just feels right on these rifles! Good luck at the range! Let us know how they perform for you!
