But i would recommend talking to some local farmers that have their cropland in the PA Farm trust (can never be developed) and see if you can get access to set steel targets up along the hedgerows or other spots that won't be in their way. That way you aren't always at the same distance/location and can really learn some wind readings and field craft. They will likely let you shoot ground hogs to your hearts content too.

This is what I have done for years, and if there's thousands of acres to do this on around me in Westmoreland county, I'm certain you have even more out that way. Endless expanses of trustee farmland in the center of the state.
