Today my new Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4 MOD 1 arrived and I was able to mount the scope on one of my suppressed 300 Blackout. Right out of the box the Leupold scope seems very well put together and everything was tight and pleasing to the eye. I have several Mark 4 scopes and the dials feel and sound like their big brother. The glass seams extremely clear for a scope that is prices around the four hundred dollar mark. The quality is from edge to edge with no visible distortion, and color seems extremely bright and sharp. I even compared the glass outside to my two year old Mark 4 MRT 2-8 (closet magnification to the Mark AR) and placed them both on four power. After looking back and forth about 50 times I could not see any difference, in fact I could not pick the better of the two. Once the scope was mounted on a Badger canted base and TPS rings I took the rifle to the range. I first tested the turrets and found the are extremely crisp with nice audible clicks and lots of elevation. Once the rifle was sighted in I attempted the old box test and the scope tracked PERFECTLY and returned to zero. The .1 mil turret making this scope mil/mil really make it easy from going back and forth to most of my Mark 4's. The SPR reticle has 2.5 mil hash marks but also contains small mil markings for accurate range estimating. The illumination button that is located on the left side of the turret is easy to use and can be seen in daylight with five other adjustments which will meet any needs. It also has the auto turn off which is perfect for someone like me, I am getting better but still forget every now and then. I am sure that it is easy to that I am very pleased with this scope, because I am. I have never bought a scope for under 400 dollars that has met my exceptations. The only thing that would be nicer is a 30mm tube but I am sure that would just be a Mark 4 and would double the cost. I called a buddy up that has the vortex pst 1-4 and he will bring it by at dusk to compare the scopes in low light and I will update this post once we complete the test. Hope this Helps Tom
