So I bought a new M6A3 last month and right out of the gate it had warranty issues with the bolt. I had to send the upper in to LWRC and I just got it back yesterday. They replaced the Advanced combat bolt with a standard bolt and head spaced the barrel. I emailed them and asked why they gave me a standard bolt and they said this;
<span style="color: #FF0000">"We are in the process of re-designing the ACB to the ACB II, therefore, we have halted production on the ACB until the new design comes out. Once this has occurred, you will be able to call in and receive your new ACB II free of charge. I do not have a current time frame on this yet. Please check the website periodically for the news release."</span>

They didn't include this information with the upper they sent back I had to ask.

I am going to shoot it this weekend and hopefully there are no more issues.

I love this rifle and it sucks that I started out with such a negative experience
Any way, here are some photos:

Re: NEW LWRC M6A3

LWRC is the Bently of ar's but they are still built by humans and there is always an issue when people are in the mix. They got you a bolt to use while they get original bolt issue ironed out. I would say that is good customer service. My experience is when something is new there is usually some sort of issue.

Re: NEW LWRC M6A3

I have an old LWRC 10.5 inch upper and have probably put 6K rounds through it in the past 4 months and I have had two feeding issues and both were magazine related. They build a hell of a gun and they are great to deal with.

I wouldn't worry and you should get out there and start blasting with that thing.

I have 3 M6A2s and they have all performed flawlessly. I've never used their warranty service but have been told by others that they are great to deal with. On the bright side, you got a free bolt

Re: NEW LWRC M6A3

I have 2 A3's SBR's and both of the bolts were 2 piece bolts. My M16 lower tore them apart. One of the gas key wasn't even staked and the other one came loose and I had 2 screws loose in the action on full auto.

LWRC sent me a replacement 1 piece bolt. The other bolt I got bad and chunked it in to a field as far as I could so I don't know if LWRC will give me a 1 piece bolt without the old one or not.

They are great rifles as long as you have the right bolts in them.
I've had some issues with one of the screws on the front that hold the fore end on coming loose. No matter how tight I get the screw it will come loose.

Re: NEW LWRC M6A3

Very nice looking rifle. It was a sad day when I sold my m6a2, it just wasn't getting much use and the funds were better spent elsewhere. The new offerings LWRC has coming out will definitely bring me back at some point. Spiraled barrel looks amazing and I know from 1st had experience how reliable they are. Great guns, they just need to keep an eye on the price.

Re: NEW LWRC M6A3

I've owned my fair share of LWRC's for sometime....I was unaware they put a 2 pc bcg in the A3's (I own 1 myself in the MRE anodized color scheme) Even if this was an option the 2 pc bcg is so much more over built then a regular DI set up... They dove tail the gas key in place. I personally seen an A2 SBR run suppressed without the gas key screws. LWRC makes a fine product to say the least and their customer service is great.

Re: NEW LWRC M6A3

Same thing that makes a Beretta 92 an "Elite" or a drag bag a "Tac Ops" drag bag or a larger latch for your CH a "Tac latch." Features, and marketing. The ACB has a larger extractor surface area and "lobster tail" dual-spring design. These features are supposed to make it more reliable. I guess they could call it the "More Reliable Bolt" or "Re-designed Bolt." I suspect that if it were made by your favorite company (whoever that might be) that you wouldn't have a problem with a catchy name for their improved bolt, though?

Re: NEW LWRC M6A3

Well put chainring. It's simply a marketing tool... and every company in the "tactical" market is guilty of such advertisements simply b/c it works.
