Not sure what I think of the reboot. I liked the actors for T.C, and Rick, but not really sure about what I thought about the actor playing Magnum. Didn't have the same charisma that Tom Selleck has. I'm a little thrown off by Higgens being a woman too. John Hillerman did such an excellent job, that he's going to be hard to replace. I started to like how the female Higgens was working out, until the scenes of her starting to "admire" Magnum. You can just see them setting up a "love interest" here. Also, destroying 2 Ferrari's was disappointing. Especially "Robin-1" being destroyed and the over the top leaping out of it and grabbing onto the helicopter.

I don’t see this as being any better than the Battlestar Galactica remake. Higgins as a chick? That’s as stupid as Starbuck being a female. I don’t see this as being worth a single fuck. No time for this shit.
Turning the show more PC makes it a pretty poor substitute. I couldn't watch 10 minutes of the show. The girl isn't bad looking but she's not and never will be higgins. Maybe the youngsters who never saw the original will like it but anyone who watched the original is going to be disappointed.

''Magnum'' should get some paddling lessons , it looks like he is going to swim any moment and they took an Epic surfski and some idiot just had to put on that wave plank , that was integral to the kayak in the original Magnum but not used on designs these days anymore.
I really tried to watch it.
In comparison to the original the retread comes up as a very pale imitation. On it's own it lacks chemistry between the characters and doesn't draw the viewer in.
