I was all set to order a couple MDT BR mags, only to find in the description they don't work w/ 3 lug actions. Does anyone else think that is a huge design flaw?

As well as with my 700 clone 3lug action.
Yes your correct they will work with Curtis 3 lug actions, why I said “most”.Curtis has the bottom lugs sitting at about 8&4 o’clock and uses the bolt face rim to strip out rounds,a Gap,badger,AW/T/X etc has the lug sitting down at 6 o’clock for AW mags and an even larger diameter bolt body.

Lug sitting at 8&4 o'clock would work better with the AW mags. Lug sittings 6 o'clock work better with centerfeed AICS mags.

Just wanted to bump this thread. Everyone is closed right now. Can't make any phone calls! Considering a Terminus Zeus! Any one forsee any problems. I still see MDT has the 3 lug listed as an issue on their website. It would be great if they would clarify which 3 lugs are a problem. I don't see much difference in a termius/curtis comapred to a rem because the lugs are on each side and its the bolt body. Same as a rem 700 i beleive pushing out the round?

I should be home later tn and have a terminus Zeus plus mdt ai mags and mdt ai 6br mags.
While the Zeus isn’t wearing a br variant barrel I don’t mind trying to feed rounds from the mag and let you know. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, it works flawless with all other ai mags and arc mags

I would expect zero problems running a Zeus Terminus with MDT mags. Order with confidence!

Normally I run AW mags in a Vector with with the .750 bolt. Sometimes my local match will run 12+ shot stages so I picked up the MDT BR mag, a little uncertain what changes I would need to make when I saw the issue about not working with 3-lug actions.

Works perfect out of the box. No adjustments needed, lips don't touch the bolt and zero feeding issues.

Still prefer the AW mag due to easier loading, smoother and shorter length but I run the MDT mags when I have too :)

I have a Vector and Zeus. I was able to get the MDT mags working, but I did have to open the feed lips a lot. The round would feed out of the mag, but run right into barrel and never feed into the chamber.

So long as you don’t mind tinkering with it, try it out. I run the AW mags with the HRD kit for my BR.

Just switched to a Zeus a few months ago and now I’m running a dasher with the same problem. Almost seems like there isn’t enough spring tension in the front half of the mag…do you have any pics or measurements of how much you opened the feed lips to get the dasher to run properly?

Bumping this thread hoping for help.
I have a terminus Zeus and can’t get the MDT br mags to feed properly. The best I’ve gotten is loading the 12 round mag and it will feed fine until I get to #11. That round will nose dive just below the chamber and cause a jam. Round 12 works feeds just fine. It appears there is a lack of spring tension in the front half of the mag which only affects #11 for some reason.

How old are your mags? They changed the follower and spring design a little while ago and sent out new followers to anyone who had the mags.
I used to have nose diving issues as well until I installed the new followers.

I have the new followers installed. The old followers were even worse. I can get the mags to work now except for the next to last round. For some reason, only that round dive bombs on me. I guess there isn’t enough tension on the spring at that point to keep the front of the mag follower from dipping as the round slides forward.
