Hey all, long time lurker and dreamer, thought I would bite the bullet and begin shooting with a purpose to improve my marksmanship rather than just going to the range for a yippy shoot. Got a Remington 700 308 aac-sd on its way, looking to soak up everything I can from this goldmine.

Remi 700 is a great start! If you can afford it, don't cheap out on good glass.
