Hi, I am a new member. I'm from Cheyenne. Ive been shooting rifles consistently since I was about 13 years of age. I am a navy veteran. I currently have a M1A Loaded and a few AR's, I also have a HVA 338 Win and a Remington 700 7mm and a ton of other various guns. I joined because I have been reloading and learning about shooting for about two years and I want to get better and I want to learn more. I have been looking at getting a AX338 from Mile High, the staff has been outstanding to me. I'm hoping this forum will give me guidance in what kind of reticle and optic to put on this, I'm thinking of a S&B PM2 with a MSR, but I want to learn more on here before taking the dive.
Good to be a part of the forum.:cool::cool:

I joined this forum a couple months ago. There is so much information here you'll be up all hours of the night reading on here. This forum is priceless! Welcome to the club!

Welcome. You've come the right place! Best and most rapid advice you'll find anywhere on the Web. Lowlight, the owner of this site, is very knowledgeable and rewiews most of the significant new items related to LR shooting. Members are always very helpful and I have found many local friends here. Just started reloading myself about 6 weeks ago. It's as fun or more than shooting and just as expensive! As always, thank you for your service protecting our great Country in foreign lands!!!

Welcome from just down the "street". Mile High and Trigger Time are pretty nice places to have relatively close. You would be hard pressed to do much better than the MSR- just do it, don't worry about something better- get out and enjoy shooting!

Thanks Guys! Yea Mile High and Trigger Time are both really good people! I was meaning to look at how the DTA system works and the Trigger time people were very excited to show me. They also showed me a bunch of optics I was very curious about, like the Leapuld HAMR. I will get the AX338, I just have to cobble up some money for the optic. I also want to do a bit more research on the scopes. This long range shooting is so addicting! Back when I was in the navy I was at a civilian range in san diego and I noticed a guy shooting a TRG-42, I just about drooled all over hisgun, he let me shoot it twice and his 416 once, and from there on I was totally hooked.
