I signed up on the forum awhile back but never posted up in here. I recently retired here. I want to try my hand at PRS when this Covid thing allows. I'm going to become a member at ZIA in a week. I'm pumped about that. I have been shooting at the city range which has been nice. I have a Tikka TAC A1 in 6.5 CM with an Athlon Midas Tac 6-24 X 50 on Burris rings (with 20 MOA dialed in), and a Harris bipod. Hopefully it will work okay for PRS. I love this forum!

Welcome from Middle Georgia. Sound like you've got an great rig. Looking forward to seeing some good posts ahead as you progress in the matches. Wish I had the chance back a couple of decades ago, but life goes on. Glad to have you here Brother...

We have an NRL Border War Match at Zia on July 26....https://nrlborderwar.org/south-west-region/
Not sure I'll be ready for that. I have to go through orientation tomorrow then I need to get out and find a good factory load, and chrono, then get some dope. If I can get that done by then, who knows maybe I'll sign up. I was hoping to do some of the regular ZIA matches first. I might have some serious nerves at a Border War! All I accomplished at the city range was one time out with the rifle and then they shut it down for Covid 19! I shot it enough to know it is a tack driver at 100 yards with Hornady American Gunner. I have never shot beyond 100 yards. I was even thinking maybe I should start out in F-class first. What are your thoughts?

Any match is a great place to learn, all of us welcome new people and will usually bend over backwards to help them.

We had a BW match yesterday in Arizona and we had youth and some ladies shooting plus like three guys that it was their first match. Everyone jumped in to help them.

Do not worry about being "ready". You are never ready, just jump in and have a good time.
