Hello everyone. Thought I had done this but apparently I haven't so here it is. Spent 11 years in the Army , always had a desire to shoot long range but never really had the chance to do it. Don't get me wrong, I've hit targets at some pretty long distances but that involved a laser and a radio(any other Fisters in here), not a rifle. Started shooting local matches in the Carolina's last year and plan to continue this year along with signing up for some training.

Good to see another SC member. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of us. I'm in Beaufort SC. How is the match situation up there?
You have the Wheaton Arms matches held at The Clinton House, they'll have 4 matches there this year, 3 of which are already scheduled. There have a been a couple smaller matches popping up on some private ranges. Shot a Guardian match last year in NC, already signed up for the April Guardian match and I'll sign up for the September match when it opens
Yeah I'm considering the Wheaton arms match in April. Wife is pregnant and due around then so have to wait and see how that goes. Signed up for one in the upstate for March 3rd. Just a small one day one though on a private range. Heard about it on Facebook.
I'm going to Frontline for a class in March, hope to find another match to sign up for between then and the Guardian match.

Yeah nothing crazy. Figured it would be a good enough for my first match. Let me know if you wind up making it.
Congrats on the baby. Mine are all grown now, we're thinking about adopting another on the future
