New member here from Eastern Oregon. Been LR shooting and hand loading for a little over 20 years. Have my own private range setup on a friends farm that I can shoot out to mile or more 15 minutes from my house. Favorite LR rig is a semi custom Rem 700, 7-300 Win Mag with a 28" Bartlein 9 twist, 4 port brake, McMillan A5, and a Leupold MK4 8-25x with TMR reticle. I shoot the 180g ELDMs with 72.5g H1000 at 3000fps under 1/2 MOA prone with a bipod. Rifle weighs 17# as it sits ready to go.

I did have 1 question. How does a guy get to be able to post in the classified section? I have some bullets I have no use for, that I'm sure maybe someone out there can use in these rough times.

Welcome from NC. I’m sure one of the other members will correct me if I’m wrong... I think it’s a one time payment to sell in the classified section.

So I did some reading and it appears you have to upgrade your membership and pay $20/month to be able to post in the classifieds. Does that sound right? Seems a bit high in my opinion, especially if you only use it a few times a year for smaller items like bullets and brass.

Welcome! I have spent lots of time shooting and playing from Burns to French Glenn, Fields, The Alvord desert (even the hot springs in the Alvord), fishing at Mann lake, chasing rabbits around Catlow valley and near French Pete's round barn, etc, etc. I had a very good friend who lived in Burns, then Fields for many years, and I would go out there and play for a week or ten days at a time.

One year, we sunk two 4wd vehicles in Catlow valley. It was a little mucky when we went out there, but we didn't count on the snow melt raising the water level all over that fast. First we got one stuck, tried to pull it out with another one, and got that one sunk too. Had to hike out about 5 miles to a field hand's trailer where we spent the night, then the next day got a ride into French Glenn to call for a wrecker to yank both vehicles out of the muck...both were in water up to the bottom of their door jams...

Anyhow, welcome, this is a great forum.
