2 ST-10's
1 ST-17 (no problems)
1 3.2-17
1 3.8-22
Failure to return to zero, improper tracking, parallax issues....
Well, the 17x never had a problem and I was a fan of the EREK knob.
Now, I have never had a single problem with any of my Night Force scopes. I use them a lot harder than the others and they keep on ticking.
But hey, USO has great customer service, right. </div></div>
Haha,
You got balls,Russ!!! but hey +1 for honest feedback.
I can't wait for NF to come out with the 5.5-22F1.I hope they do a reticle similar to the new Vortex 5-20.

Steve, I calls 'em likes I see's 'em.
Hell, you remember when i shot with you. You were honest about the problems you had with that scope you were using. Just don't touch the turrets, right. haha
I have major heartburn with the "hunky dory" attitude of if you pay the most for something it is obviously the best. I mis purchased many years ago and hope to help others out with saving some bucks.
Now, if I knew then, what I know now, I wouldn't own half of what I own now.

Ya know,
Its wierd to me because honestly I don't see what the hype is about USO. I bought the kool-aid at one point and my first few "top tier" tactical scopes were USO and I always thought they were the cat's ass. That is, until I handled S&B and NF scopes. For one thing, USO scopes always seemed like they never came right straight from the factory, I had one with knobs that were WAY too mushy that had to be sent back and also another one with a jacked up lens that had to be sent back. Funny thing still about thier "great" customer service is that they insisted that there was nothing wrong with the scopes I had sent back and flat out refused to fix them until I insisted that they do so and even then it took them months to fix and return the scopes. Again, funny because my NF and S&B scopes never came with those problems. To be fair, I eventually got my USO scopes squared away and working properly or exchanged to the point where I was happy with them, but I eventually sold all my USO stuff because of my disgust with the company over all the ordeals I was put through with their "great" customer service.
Another thing that people like to say about USO is that "they are built tough!" or "built like a tank", when really the simple fact of the matter is that they are too freakin heavy. Just because the scope is heavy and "feels" tough doesn't necessarily mean it is tough, don't be fooled by the weight. Regarding the glass quality, you need not look any further than the Houston area scope comparison thread where nearly every single reviewer present felt that USO glass was inferior to the glass on other top dollar scopes, you may not be able to tell the difference in daylight but during low light USO scopes have comparatively inferior contrast.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying USO sucks, they are great scopes with above average glass, innovative reticles, great features and the EREK knob is fantastic (when it isn't mushy). USO is leaps and bounds better than Leupold and is priced pretty reasonably for a FFP scope. I just feel that I need to put this out there to try and counteract the overwhelming blind love that people have for the product on here and try to give the OP all the facts before spending his money on a scope. I honestly feel that as an entry level "top tier scope" Nightforce is your best bet due to the consistency of the product and the fact that they resell easily for 80% of the full retail price (for when you do want to move up).
