Re: New Product! By Snipers for Snipers!

Got mine and tried it out today. 77 degrees and the DA was 9500 on my Kestrel 4500. The FDAC was spot on for me all the way to 1,000 yards. Badass shit!

Thanks again

Re: New Product! By Snipers for Snipers!

Currently the FDAC is only available in the 175 Sierra Matchking, as this product is primarily designed to support the needs of a military sniper firing issued M118LR, MK-316 (AB39), though it works perfectly with FGMM 175, Black Hills 175, HSM 175, Corbon, etc - just about anything that fires a .30 caliber, 175gn SMK between 2600-2700 fps.

More to come, our production people are working non-stop on filling the current orders.

We've had a huge response to the 175 offering due to its military applications and overall popularity among the masses of tactical/precision shooters.

Re: New Product! By Snipers for Snipers!

I have a ton of 168s. I hope that a version for the 168 comes out sometime soon, I am rolling over to 175 SMK but I have about 1200 rounds of 168s I need to work through as I replace them.

Re: New Product! By Snipers for Snipers!

Tony at TAB Gear is designing a pretty cool carrying pouch for the FDAC that will carry your FDAC, extra FDAC slides, and a Mildot Master. It should be a very compact package that will fit in your cargo pocket without being annoying or bulky. You will see it soon.

Thanks for the support guys!

Re: New Product! By Snipers for Snipers!

To answer a frequently asked question from folks, via PM.

(Q) “Can I use the FDAC if I don’t know the muzzle velocity for my ammunition?”

(A) Absolutely. When initially using the Field Density Altitude Compensator, simply record your scope’s turret adjustment or reticle hold used to achieve accurate impacts on your target. Find the FDAC card that most closely matches your firing solution and density altitude used during firing at an accurately measured distance. For best results when trying to match up firing solutions and density altitude with the FDAC card, use firing data for targets beyond 600 yards (ideally at 1000 yards). This will ensure that the FDAC card that most closely matches your firearms muzzle velocity will be effective for both short and long range targets. If using a weather instrument that displays Density Altitude, ensure that the instrument is properly calibrated according to the manufacturers instructions.

If you have a solid and repeatable 100 yard zero, an accurately measured muzzle velocity for your ammunition, and your scope tracks properly as you dial elevation you will find that the FDAC is incredibly accurate at long range.

We have had amazing results with tactical and competitive shooters alike. Keep your eyes peeled....the MILSPEC version is en route.

Re: New Product! By Snipers for Snipers!

Gentlemen and Ladies, I figure I would lend my $.2 on this product. I ordered from Adaptive Consulting shortly after the calculator came out. My basis on the purchase was the "OH SH*T" factor. Many have become reliant on battery operated devices, which work great. But in the mountains of Afghanistan and being one of the last stops on the supply ring route, often times long gunners resort back to their data books and pen and paper. I am now in a stateside location where shooting altitude can vary greatly. Through side by side comparison with Nightforce Ballistic Data Program, The ADAC proved to be right on the money at 4,000 AGL to 5,000 AGL in varying temperatures. The simplicity of the product is the stand out feature next to accuracy. In low light or more stressful engagements the KISS method works every time. I am not a techno guru and will admit that hitting a lot of buttons in the blaring sun, dust, and stress is beyond me. All I have to do on the ADAC is set the window to my Muzzle Velocity and Density Altitude and I am good to go. I would have no quams bout adding this device to my Snipers/DMRs kits and sending them into indian country. Please keep up the good work and I personally look forward to anything you might have to offer in the future. THANK YOU!!

Respectfully,
D. Gray

Re: New Product! By Snipers for Snipers!

338LM version with 250 Scenars or 250 LockBases in 0.1 mrad version would be interesting. In Finland there are no mountains to speak of but we do send people to Afganistan and other interesting places with TRG-42s.

Just ordered mine. Can't wait to try it out.....gives me another excuse to go shooting!

Look forward to you 338 FDAC. Can you tell us if it will include the 300gr SMK with a velocity of around 2800 fps? My rifle is the 338 Edge, not the Lapua. But, they are close enough, I figured the Lapua data will probably work fine.

Thanks,

Devin

Re: New Product! By Snipers for Snipers!

Hi PP ,

Its not so much that they treat their Allies badly ( which they do ) , that's not what really pi@# me off .

It's that fact they actually treat their Enemies better .

Opps , Bad Chris

Nice! I know right where this is. I was stationed at Quantico back in the late '90's. My wife's family is in Stafford and I travel back there several times a year. I'll be in the AO in November.

If you remember where the TBS gate is at Quantico, we are just outside of it, stop by and see us anytime.
