I know we are a smart enough group to not fall for scams on email.... however, I will say that one of my parents got sucered by the Microsoft scam before...

I received an email today claiming to be from the USPS... asking me to click on a link to verify an address change...

total scammer email.... something to consider sharing with all of your elderly family and friends....

Never ever click on ANY link that didn't come from someone you PERSONALLY know... or are expecting for some reason.
Your bank will never ask you to click on a link to "verify your information."

The post office will never ask you.

Your mortgage firm will never ask you.

Your insurance agent will never ask you.

The power company will never ask you.

No legitimate business of ANY kind will ask you.

Don't be fooled by official-looking logos and "stationery." Don't be fooled by spoofed emails in the "from" box.

Also, the text of the link does NOT indicate where the link actually goes. One way you can find out without clicking is to HOVER your mouse over the link. The actual destination will pop up in a box or appear in the footer at the bottom of your screen.

I simply do not even open emails from strangers. Ever. Just like I don't open the door of my home to unexpected strangers. Ever. Period. Never ever.
