It's nice to see a knife that the maker put some thought into. Too many makers/ designers are more worried about looks than function. Except when it comes to leather work and a lot of it looks like crap. That is a helluva knife and some damn nice leather work.

I like a drop point knife like that when I am butchering a deer. That point is very good for stripping out back straps or any other meat that is in close proximity to bone. Just push that point into the bone and follow the bone out. They do a very clean job on backstraps. I have a Cold Steel with a blade that looks exactly the same in dimensions. It works prerfectly. Just need to keep them sharp.

I don't particularly think they are very useful when it comes to skinning, but they work great in the boning process. A heavy sharp point like that will put alot of holes in hides if you are planning on keeping the hide. A good skinner needs more of a rounded tip, or an overall smaller knife in dimesion without such a powerful tip. Tom.
