Here's my new Spartan Precision Rifle, chambered in 6.5CM. Marc got this one done for me a few weeks ago, and I just got it back from Cerakote. I got to take it out a couple of times while I was lining up a painter, but now that it's lookin all purty, I thought I'd show it off

In my brief couple outings prior to painting, it shots great. Not as great as the test firing Marc put it through (actually George drove the rifle for testing

), but I'm working up to that....

Anyway, I'm totally psyched, and hoping to make it to Sac this coming weekend to stretch it's legs out to 1000

Man, what a great looking rig! Congrats. I'm in the process of putting together a build and might steal some of your ideas! That KMW stock looks like an ambi so It'll work for me (lefty). What bottom metal is that?

Just so everyone knows how good this rifle <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic"></span>can</span> shoot, here's George's test grouping. Shot with his own hand loads.....(same reamer cut both our chambers)

Seeing this, I'm glad he didn't fill my barrel with gravel, like he threatened too

Mark is rebuilding a rifle for me right now that i will be taking to the RO September class with me. Ive had rifles built for me by several of the big guys and i have to say, so far, dealing with Mark has been a pleasure and communication has been outstanding. Hopefully when i go to RO i will do the rifle justice. You can expect a full report from me once i get back.

The sentinel stock is awesome, I've been shooting behind this one for a year and a half in its previous incarnation as a .308. So comfortable and forgiving, grip feels like it was made for my hand.
I've got another one on order that Marc is going to build into a 7 SAUM for me

Bottom metal is from Surgeon, made specifically for the sentinel stock

I have seen groups under 0.1" in at 100 yards with my Spartan 6.5CM with hand loads that are printed on the 140 amax box. It's the only load I've shot because it's to good to try any thing else. Marc builds hammers. His 6.5 CM won the 600 yd f class match that I shot it in two weeks after I got it, using factory 140g loads. He makes the shooting equivalent of Apoclypse Now ( my opinion the best movie ever, thus Marc builds the best rifles ever)

What loads are you shooting well?

My sentinel is going to be a 7 SAUM too, built on a long action switch barrel with 300 win mag. He will build every gun of mine I think.
