Just installed my new Timney trigger group in my AR. Hope to get out to the range next weekend and try it out. Who else has one of these?

I have one and like it ok. Mine is the 4lb. Its not as crisp as my Geissele SSA-E or SDE but still a good trigger.

Got a 3 Lb. Timmney and like it. Good, clean break. Actually wish it was about 1.5 lb as I just shoot groups, but still Quality kit.

I have Timney 4lb triggers in my S&W Sport AR and in my DPMS LR 308. I love their triggers; the best single action triggers I've pulled on in 52 years of shooting.

Why would someone put anti-walk pins on a timney trigger? The set screws are there to make sure the pins don't walk out.

Even the instructions that come with trigger comment "These (2) set screws are used to lock the housing screw and if they get loose or fall out to go back and remove them to retighten". I would say the anti's will just make it 100%. Not a bad idea really.

Yep put anti-walk pins in mine also. Also I agree the Geissele is just a little bit better. Going to move mine to my S&W mp15-22 and get another Geissele. But all in all not a bad trigger.

Seems like a waste unless your really running the gun hard in the dirty and the set screws have a chance of backing out. Mine is a bench gun only so no need for extra precautions.

I put a Hogan drop in unit in a lower last night and it dawned on me why they come with locking pins; the one piece units don't have springs retaining the pins like a standard trigger group. I haven't examined the Timney, but this is the reason the Hogan/POF triggers have anti-walk pins.
FWIW, I was really impressed with the Hogan unit.

I have a 3 lb timney in my grendel. Its been over a year since it was installed and no problems. The set screws in the bottom work like they should.

I have three timneys, all are 3 lb solid shoe models. All run 100% crisp and clean with no creep. I swear by them.

I hate to tell on myself but when i built my last lower all i had was anti-rotate pins with my 3lbs timmney so I did it, knowing full well the whole time somebody was going to call me out. Love the trigger doesnt really compare to my DMR which is what i bought the Anti-rotate pins untill i heard not use anything but the supplied pins on Geiselle

I've actually had the pin walk with a Timney before. I recommend using loctite on the set screws. I use the Timney 3lb in my 3-gun rifle and love it. I also like the profile of the trigger.

3lb Timney here. I like it a lot but it does have a very tiny bit of creep. Have not had a chance to try a DMR, would like to though.
