also wanted to be able to use on a .243 so the pinnacle tube is out. question is if L3 is better than clip-on.

I will be looking for the specs on the clip-on too. weight and length mainly since rail space it at a premium.</div></div>

I'm exactly with ya n this one!!!

Re: New TNVC Clipon

People who are not involved in this type of adventure would not believe that something as simple as a pic of a loaded up weapon could cause a man to say that he believed he just felt his dick move!!

Just imagine Vic, what will happen when you announce the price. My imagination is filled with thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You better make that price good or there will be a major run on anti-depressants.

Re: New TNVC Clipon

There is no doubt this unit will be great, but unless you are staking your life on NV, save some money. If I had an overabundance of cash I might get one, but I currently have the D-930 and couldn't be more happy. From the guys with more experience than I, from an image or light gathering perspective, can it get much better that the D-930 gen 3? I am really impressed with the image.

I'd look at it this way...The $7500.00 AN/PVS-24 outperforms the D-930, it better have for that price and of course the 24 better have because it has CAD optics vs. a lens system which the CAD lens brings in a bunch more light.

In our case, we do not test much more with the PVS-24, it just sits in the case with not much comparison, that we can tell you.

As for price, been lot's of guessing and rumors, but hang tight as with our entire TNV line we've been introducing, not much (relativity speaking) has broken the bank. We think you will be pleasantly surprised about cost vs. performance...And this is just the start of this TNV line you're now seeing.

The new Torch Pro IR Illuminator was first, that set the bar with incredible performance and versatility at a great price no other IR illuminator has matched.

The second was our TNV-14 recently released line that is also setting the bar in regards to price vs. performance.

The third will be the new WASP Clip-On which we firmly believe will also meet the same goals of this TNV program, which is to offer a some very good performance without breaking the bank of your hard earned dollar especially in this economy.

The fourth, 5th, 6th etc? Be great to see some of you at Shot show where we show a few more goodies.

Hope this helps.

I have always wondered about this also, I see pics now and again and the clipons don't line up with the scope exactly. How does this affect things?

From what i understand they have a built in colimator to correct for misalignment, but im not 100% sure on that.

With a <span style="font-weight: bold">high </span>quality clip-on devices that are colimated correctly (and stay that way), being approx" .5 high/low - left/right of the day scope does not effect the POA/POI. In some cases it can diminish the overall image quality, so you try to be as close as you can. As with any high end clip-on, the image quality is also based on the the day optic quality (light gathering ability) you're using as well. We tell folks to never skimp on the day optic portion of the equation. Scopes such as S&B, NightForce, US Optics, Zeiss, etc. are good examples.

Indeed, good point. I did not mean to leave out the ACOG line or the Elcan DR's. In fact, we are blown away how good the new WASP looks in front of our ACOGS, just truly amazed at the image quality.

Re: New TNVC Clipon

Btw, so folks know...The current WASP-Clip on we've been showing is our PRE-PRODUCTION model. The final version will have our final design changes that are needed for extreme field use. We think you will really like what you see from the outside of the unit and of course inside through the tube.

Those pictures will go up in the next few weeks with <span style="text-decoration: underline">all </span>the details you've been asking for.

As you all can tell, it's taken awhile, but it has to be perfect. We think it's worth the wait. This one IS going to surprise you.

Re: New TNVC Clipon

Vic, I've spent a good bit of cash with you in the last few years and this is going to get me spending more I think. I was seriously thinking about the flir t50 but this may be a better route for me. Ill call you tomorrow and talk with you if you have a minute.

I'm wanting something and this WASP just confused the hell out of me! Haha

Re: New TNVC Clipon

It would be nice if it would work in front of my Mark 4 spotter as well.

Any chance you'll be looking into that(12x) functionality as part of the launch package?

Thanks,

We used a Zeiss 3-12 X 56 up to 10 X and could easily hit the 200 and 300 yard silhouettes at WRR's night range.

I cannot wait for this to be available! </div></div>

He wouldn't say an exact amount but I'm almost positive it's a good bit below a pvs22. But the quality isn't at all!

Seems impossible to me. A better yet cheaper clip on?? Leave it to victor to make it happen! Where do I send my money!? Lol

More coming.... </div></div>

Wow, looks even better than when we had it!

Just so everyone knows, we tested a prototype model and then sent it back with notes, and feedback. We noted areas where we would have improved things, and true to form, TNVC obviously took some of our suggestions, but more importantly, is completely capable of tweaking this thing to the Nth degree on their own. Its no surprise to me that they are improving on it until they feel its right, and I'm quite certain we'll find all the features we need for our hunters and NV purchasers.

I was impressed with it then, and I am sure I will be blown away when the production model comes back to us.

</div></div>

Indeed Chris, much has changed and improved over time and we feel for quality vs. price point, it will be well received.

We've been through many iterations of the WASP itself in the form of several platforms with thousands of rounds down range with each and everyone of them. We have several more surprises after the initial release of this unit shortly, that will be announced at Shot.

There's this thing called Google, it's pretty cool... 15-18 January at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, only gun industry people can go (for the most part).

Re: New TNVC Clipon

^ I have been told that it looks beautiful at 10x. I'm sure it'll do 12x but it may get a tad dark if anything. I'm curious too because I want to try some long shots with it.

I have been here for a while now and did not know that once a member hit a certain number of post he or she could respond to a question ask by a relatively new member in a sarcastic manner.
Since both of you guys are search engine gurus you may can find Lowlights post about cutting new members some slack, Maybe he is not yet that well versed on the functions of this website
