Getting a 6x47 Laupa 26" barrel made for my AI AT. New to the cartridge, not rifle reloading. Planning on using Berger 105 Hybrid to start. Use for PRS style comps. I have a Dillon 650 and am in the process of getting a Forster CoAx. Use Forster dies for rifle loading now, thinking about sticking with them, though I've heard good things about Whidden. Federal primers are pricey by me (Philly) so looking for an alternative, along with powder suggestions. Thanks!

CCI 450 are the go-to for 6x47l. More blast and thick cup. Remington 7 1/2 is another.

Varget, H4350, H4831sc, IMR4451, R-16, R26 are some of the powders I have used or considered for 6x47. Mine has a longer throat than most 6x47's which enables 2.75" OACL so H4831sc has been my favorite but haven't tried the newer powders.

There's a section just below this one named the "Reloading Depot" where guys post their loads in a thread dedicated to a specific caliber. Most times, you will find your component information there. As for dies, stay with what works for you.

King Shooters Supply in King of Prussia always has Federal GM205M primers on the shelf and they're reasonably priced. For Varget I usually just hit the Oaks Gun Show every couple of months. There's usually a table or two with 8lbs jugs in the $200 range.

We use the Remington 7 1/2 BR's as well. However, because RL26 was so efficient we switched from 105JLK's to 115's. The node for the 105's was 3160-3180fps. For the 115's we settled into 3065fps with 42.2g of RL26. Also worked up H4350 it shoots 80fps slower. If you push it any faster pressure signs start showing. However the SD's were very acceptable.

Kings is my FFL but when I got small federal rifle primers from them a few months ago, they were more expensive then ordering them from Powder Valley and the like, even factoring in shipping and Hazmat.
