Hello, thought I would take a moment to introduce myself as in the coming days I will be asking some questions, and in general plan on participating in the forum.
A little about myself to start off;
I am member of the Emergency Services, having worked for eight years in Fire/EMS, with both paid and volunteer experience, I plan on making my way in the world as a Flight Medic/Nurse.
Being located in Southern Indiana, the hills and valleys are my home, and that is the type of environment I hope to build kit around with the help of the knowledge base and the search feature on this forum.
At this time, I am working my way into the world of rifle and hand gun classes. I'd like to get my start with a good solid handgun, and then move my way up from there. Presently, I am about 30% into building a Mid-Length rifle platform, taking my time and buying piece by piece with the assistant of a friend whom is a gunsmith.
I own an 18 1/2" Mossberg 500, H&R Break Action 20ga, and a Marlin 39A Gold Trigger Collectors Edition. Not a bad platform to start on. To that I plan on adding a couple pistols, the AR as mentioned, and a couple bolt action rifles and maybe an AR-10 just because I've always had the hots for them.
And while this is going to probably result in mass loling and flaming, I suppose I should include this;
I am an airsofter, of the more 'serious', if you will, as serious as play army can be, variety. I have traveled many a mile to attend events in my Tri-State area, have a youtube dedicated to helmet cam footage, and everything. Airsoft is really what got me spring boarded into moving into more serious shooting aside from hunting and paper targets.
What brought me here, was a very well made gun painting guide, and the will to learn about ghillies, specifically stalking suits and gun wraps.
