New Zermatt Lapua action

Other than the toroidal lugs on the backside (from Zermatt’s description), the extractor reminds me of the old Ed Brown 704 action.

@Zermatt Arms , any word on availability of the Lapua action? And, will the new bolt head design be carried over to other models? Are the lug abutments also toroidal? Or, do the toroidal lugs rest/compress against a flat lug abutment? Except for Mausingfields, there just isn’t much discussion about toroidal lugs but I’d appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

I'm sorry I missed this!

We don't have any solid commitment to provide on availability. There are various parts that are already made, some in process and some parts to start producing completely. We still believe we'll have it available this summer.

It's possible that aspects of this design will be used in future generations of the TL line of actions.

No, the lug abutments are flat just like our current design. We're only using the toroidal shape on the stem of the bolt head mating up in the bolt body.

If you have future questions that go unanswered here, it's always best to email me directly. [email protected]

Thank you!
