Just getting started in the reloading world. I'm planning on reloading .223, .270, and .308 for now. Plan on doing a few more, but want to get practice. Have a RCBS kit on the way. Just wondering about powders. Is it better to go with one type for all 3 calibers or should I use different types for each? I see a lot of reloaders using Varget and wonder if that is a good start? Thanks for any help.

Varget would be good for the .223 and the .308, but the .270 is gonna need some slower powder. Just look at a reloading manual and see what powders are best for the caliber and bullet size, i recommend reloader 19/22 for the .270 depending on how heavy a bullet you use.

H335 works great for .223 for me. Also very easy to meter.
Oh, and AA2520. Great powder for both .308 and .223.... And meters well.

Most definitely! And if you like cool tools, it gets even more addicting.
Good news is that it gives you a chance to shoot more to try out new loads and bullets.

Reloading is just too damn expensive. Have fun and be safe. Oh varget works great for 308 and 223. Also look at alliant ar-comp for 308 and 223. It's working great for me.

must have slower powder for 270. don't buy bulk until you find out what your rifles really like.
