Several people have asked me about Newcon Optik gear ... and I've looked at it seriously myself a few times.

While trying to research the company further tonight, I stumbled on this. I offer it with no comment, just "information floating out on the internet". If anyone has further data on the company, please share.

I was particularly looking to try to find where their gear is made. I had heard a rumor the gear was made in the Ukraine. The above article says "Russia".

Ok, so US MIL purchasing NV from a Canadian company manufactured in Russia to supply to the Iraqis? A $50K bribe for a $250M contract? $1.6M bond. All sounds legit.
