Does anyone have experience with or pictures of the newest model of Mcree Precision Chassis. From the few pictures I have seen, it appears to have a AR type collapsable stock and they have filled in teh gap behind teh triggerguard.

Thanks,
Matt

Re: Newest Model of Mcree Precision Stock

I have 3 of his newest chassis models. They are vastly improved from his earlier versions. Comfortable, ergonomic, balances well, TOUGH as hell, and it's a folder. They are awesome chassis, I will keep buying from him until something can beat his customer service, price, and track record. And good luck to anyone with that record!

I have 2. One for my FN/SPR (mine was the prototype host) and one for my 510 Whisper Remy long action. Awesome stocks! The look of the newer ones with the gap filled in between the grip and the trigger guard is much much cleaner. Scott fought this as he told me "function over form", but succumbed to the wishes of his customers and listened to their suggestions. I love mine!

Re: Newest Model of Mcree Precision Stock

Okay I'm back and from my previous post in this thread I said I'd get some pics when I put my chassis and action together.

First, out of the box this chassis is tough, it DOES NOT have a flimsy feel to it. The folding hinge also seems to work really well, and while it wobbles a tiny bit when folded, locked out straight it's rock solid.

The ugly space between the trigger and grip is nicely filled in, and there are four flush cup anchor points on each side of the chassis. It also comes with one forward stud for fitting your bipod to.

The magazine fits snugly and feeds flawlessly.

The action screws are captured in the chassis, so no losing them, just slap in your action and torque. Chassis comes with 4 allen wrenches.

Modular is taken to the next level with this. every piece is bolted on to another and its really cool when you see just how modular this is and how customizable it is also.

Here are the pics. Just for reference that is a LV contour finished at 26".

i dont know about "everything", i got 2 extra pic rails for the front end and both are WAYY out of spec. I cant attach anything to them. Im sure this could be easily fixed if i were stateside long enough to deal with it, but I shouldnt have to send them back in the first place.

You all are making it very hard for me to wait until next season to purchase one of Scotts stocks. I've made up my mind that this is the way I'm going but have also really wanted to learn my rifle as is before making the switch. You are really making it hard to do that!!!

I have a prob believing that Scott would let anything out of spec out of his shop let alone sell it to someone. Are you sure he made them? And in the slightest chance it was his mistake if you talked to him i can assure you he will more than take care of it for you.

Yup, I ordered them from him directly, talked to him on the phone i think.. And i'm sure he would fix it, and maybe when I get a chance i'll make it to the post office, I just hate paying as much as i did for the rails, then paying more for shipping BACK to them then waiting a few weeks... Im home a month at a time and hardly have time to deal with returns for shoddy workmanship.. I'll get around to it one day..

Re: Newest Model of Mcree Precision Stock

I have a McRee chassis for the SA Rem 700 action that's off at Short Action getting chopped/brake installed and, given that I'm boltgun-less right now, I couldn't resist breaking out the Dremel tool to mod the MOE grip and Chassis a little to fit my hand better.
