I built my house a couple of years ago in the middle of an oak grove that was a favorite feeding place for the whitetails. I had hopes of having my coffee in the mornings and watching the deer browse on the hillside.
My border collie, Ripper, had different ideas. He ran off anything that dared come into his territory.
Well, Ripper jousted with a dump truck and lost.
Yesterday morning there were four deer eating corn that I had put out for them, about 60 yds from my dining table.
Sure was a treat to watch them.
Maybe I won't get another dog.

You can always get an indoor cat that will stare out the window with you wondering what those big creatures are and how can I kill them; you will both have the same idea but will go about it very differently.

You should get a game cam, if you don't already. I'm sure more people other than myself would enjoy seeing them. I just have badgers & coyotes out my front door.
