Your 338 with 300’s will do that distance. If you want something with consistency at the 2500 yard range then the bigger 338’s are better. For consistency I’d step to a 375 for that distance. But unless I’m shooting comp that long it be hard to justify stepping to a 375. For the occasional shooting to those distances the 338 LM will do. I took mine to a mile when I had it.
This pic was stolen off another thread here. But has drop for 300 Berger/338 LM at 2750 fps to 2500 yards. Theoretically if you put a 40 moa base on the 5-25 atacr with 120 moa of elevation the elevation available should be around 100 moa or about 29 MIL. Which would get to just shy of 2400 yards. But allow a closer zero.
But the 60 moa base does make sense if you plan to shoot further all the time. Mine doubled as a hunting rifle so making shots inside 100 yards was just as important to me as being able to stretch its legs out. I shot a deer with mine at 1,000 but shot in the same field as close as 60 yards the same day
