I'm not sure if this has been discussed before (searched but didn't see anything that answered my question). If this is in the wrong forum, please move.

I'm interested in starting my own NFA Trust for a few suppressors and an SBR'd lower. Has anyone used Silencershop or guntrustguru or nationalguntrusts to create their trust? If there are other reputable options (for reasonable costs), I would love to hear about them. Again, I'm not interested in spending hundreds of bucks on generating the trust. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

Having learned a bit over five can purchases, what I’ve done and will do is use a single shot trust. Each NFA item goes into it’s own trust. There are lots of benefits of this. SilencerShop has info.

I used arsenal attorney at the recomendation of my ffl dealer. They have lots of sales for 10% off.

If you are trying to move nfa items you already own to a trust i believe you will have to pay for a new stamp for each item.

I'm on my 5th with Silencershop. I have an individual trust and found out that the trust dies moments after I do whether or not I have responsible person(s) listed. I made certain to add the info to my will and will pass them on to named beneficiaries. All in all very pleased with the service I've gotten from Silencershop (I keep coming back for more..)

About as simple as it gets

I'm in the Atlanta area and at the recommendation of my dealer I used Dean's services as well. It was a very simple process to fill out the online form and he emails your trust documents. Get them notarized and you are good to go. But the best part is when I called his office his para answers the phone and I had two outstanding conversations with her. She really knows her stuff and was able to walk me through the whole process and answer all my related questions. My trust with 2 RP sailed through. Very happy I went this route.

The small local dealer I went through for my 3 cans and to transfer one from a form 4 individual to the new trust used guntrustguru. I think he charged $100 but was simple as can be and was crazy easy for me and I trust it’s all done properly.

Shout out for Arsenal. It’s a plug and play system and comes with an hour of consulting. There are cheaper ways to go, but if you have a real question or need help, you are starting from zero at the very time you need help.

It’s like tax returns, you can certainly figure your own, but using an accountant is cheap insurance if you ever get the call from the IRS.
