Our February Match is on Sunday, 2/24. We are starting a bit later than usual because of new club shooting hours. If you get there by 0845 you will have plenty of time to get ready, help set up and attend the mandatory safety briefing.

Courses of fire are forthcoming. There will be two offered as usual. Carbine or Precision. You can shoot one or the other because they flow simultaneously.

For Carbine, expect movers and pop-ups anywhere from 100 to 300Y, and some short course CQB type work too. Plan on a small amount of pistol as well. Bring 100 rifle in at least four mags, and 15 pistol and you will have enough.

For precision, expect popups, movers, pop-walks, and lots of fun on the steel all the way out to 637Y. I'm probably shooting vintage class again (scoped Mauser 98k) if anyone wants to go all old school with me.

Online registration required. Make sure your email address is correct. I will email everyone on the roster by 10pm the night before if the match has to be canceled because of weather. If it's entered wrong, or your mailbox is full, it's on you.

Put this in your pipe and smoke it.

I added a CBS drill in for the carbine guys. Why make them stand around?

We will try and do the 600Y movers first go around once we get back to the club firing line before the radio batteries freeze up.

The Eastern Frrront Q-Course is back. I rather enjoyed that one and it ran fast.

I just signed up - it'll be my first time ever participating in any shooting event. Looking forward to meeting some others with the same interests. Hopefully it's newbie-friendly!

You'll have a blast and the crowd is friendly and supportive. Everyone's there to have fun rather than crush the opposition (ish)...

Bob-
Make sure you have some better brass than whatever you were using at Mayberry

I was impressed you stayed in that fight given how much trouble you were having!

Anyway, I will see you guys all soon for the Mason-Dixon Challenge! Stay warm up there in GAP PA.

Oh no, that is bad news - give Freddy that much planning time and the diabolical level will be thru the roof!!!!

James,
I think I have that issue worked out.......we'll see!

Thanks to everyone who came out and earned your trench foot merit badge today.

Scores are posted!

We only lost one stage to frozen radios this time which was an improvement. Thanks to Matt for the whiteboard idea.

Next month will be a TWO MAN TEAM match. No restrictions on bolt/semi. Both shooters will be precision shooters. Each team member can shoot what they want. Announcement coming within 24hrs.

Great match everyone. Looks like it didn't matter that Freddy shot his AR! He still won!

Thanks for the match, and welcoming new shooters into this sort of competition. I think we got a few more hooked today :0) Thanks Freddy I think I'm a little closer to hitting them pesky movers.

Holy shit @ Denver..... Completely new to this and crushes most of the CoF including a first round hit standing at 637Y to take 2nd place.....

After his first match that kid has already got himself marked as another one to watch out for on the competition circuit.

Once you and then Denver got a 1st round hit on that 637Y target, I had to try it. I was going to go for the 500Y one.

Really nice shooting - both of you guys. I promise there will be a LOT of movers in the team match so you will get a lot of practice on them.
