Actually, I have had quite a bit of success with the payment (more of a layaway) plan method. 10-20% down with full payment due no later than 90 days after receipt of deposit with forfeiture of said deposit if the agreement is not honored without consent of the seller. Some of the higher end items I have sold have been done in this manner with great success.
