Beautiful rifle, but I sure would hate to drag it through the scrub and thorns to finish off a buff or anything else.
My old rigby has severed me well. It too is well scarred up but every scratch brings back great memories.

Griffin and Howe is real close to my home. It's a toy store. I'd love to have a nice Double Rifle.

This one is real nice.Lebeau-Courally - Best Sidelock Ejector - .470 N.E. caliber - $85,000.00 CLICK for pics Used rifles and scroll down. Regulation targets are amazing. Can't imagine taking that on Safari. Although if you can afford the stick...

Most doubles don'y go that high, A Holland & Holland Royal will run you 125K they might run as high as 150K. However, a good Wesley Richards, John Rigby, WS Roberts. THey will only set you back 45 to 50K. You can buy a poor man Double for 8 to 12K.

Re: Nice big game rifles

I know they don't normaly fo that high. That one in particular had a price of 450K Euros according to one of the pics. Figure that at the current exchange rate and you hit that range pretty solid. Another in there was suggesting in excess of $1,000,000 to not be out of the question.

Some truely nice doubles with moderate engraving can be had in the 50-75K neighborhood. For a good serviceable double the price generaly starts around 10K.
